Little Red Box is a (VERY) small market located in Houston’s Second Ward, an area that lacks ready access to healthy and affordable food. In some ways, innovative: a tech-enabled, mission-forward healthy food store, built to scale and intentionally focused on low-income, low-access neighborhoods. Yet in so many more it is a return to basics: fresh food + recipe kits + pantry essentials, with a commitment to community engagement and empowerment. A convenient third place - welcoming, and responsive, and nice, to one and all.
